‘Spiderman’ could stay behind bars for a week

The unruly fan dressed up as Spider-Man who marred Game Five of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals between San Miguel and Magnolia could possibly stay behind bars for a week, as per reports.

Paolo Felizarta, the man behind the costume, will face charges from the PBA after he stormed the court while the tightly contested game was ongoing.

The 31-year-old may face charges of unjust vexation, and alarm and scandal.

Both are just minor offenses, but Felizarta could not post bail right away since offices are closed on weekends and Monday, May 13, is a non-working holiday due to the midterm elections.

Felizarta can only post bail on Friday as it takes three days to raffle a case, according to reports.

He is currently detained at Quezon City Police Department’s Station 7.

This is the first time an act like Felizarta’s happened in the PBA. The situation worsened after he accidentally collided with June Mar Fajardo before being apprehended by even security.

Two more men were arrested, with one of them believed to be in cahoots with Felizarta.
