SMART Omega bows out of TI10 Qualifiers

Smart Omega Esports bowed out of The International 10 Southeast Asia regional qualifiers after a 2-0 loss against Galaxy Racer in the lower bracket, Thursday afternoon.

With the opener extending to almost an hour, Galaxy Racer got the much-needed separation after a botched initiation attempt from Omega Esports saw Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky’s Spectre go for the punish. That led to the Malaysian squad’s retaliation with an easy Triple Kill.

The Filipinos made a last-ditch attempt to save the match, but were overwhelmed by both inYourdreaM and Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen (Dark Seer).

InYourdreaM tallied a game-high 14 kills laced with 20 assists and four deaths. Meanwhile, Meracled added a game-high 29 assists along with eight kills and five deaths in Game One.

Justin “Tino” Grimaldo’s carry Elder Titan led Omega with 13 kills, five deaths, and five assists in the opener.

Come Game Two, it was all Galaxy Racer with inYourdreaM and Meracle once again wreaking havoc all over the map.

The Indonesian carry put up 12 kills without a single death. On the other hand, the 25-year-old offlaner had four kills against just one death in the match that lasted for 31 minutes and 59 seconds.
