Slippery floor hounds VisMin anew as Basilan-Roxas tilt stops in third qtr

IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY — For the second time in four days, the management of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup has decided to cancel a game, this time the match between Jumbo Plastic-Basilan and Petra Cement-Roxas, Tuesday.

The league yet again deemed the court unplayable due to slipperiness. Rain has been dropping heavily here at the Provincial Gymnasium since the middle of the first game between Pagadian and Zamboanga City.

The halftime break took longer because the league tried to address the floor issues by mopping all they could.

Just 45 seconds into the second half, Peace Rider Michael Juico slipped badly and was slow to get up.

Play stopped at the 9:15 mark of the third quarter with the Vanguards ahead by one, 40-39.

The two squads then agreed to play with two terms.

The first was that if anyone slipped once more, play would be stopped.

The second term was if the game would be halted, the game would resume to the time and scoreline it stopped.

Last Friday, the tilt pitting Iligan-Zambo del Sur was also cancelled due to the same reason.
