According to reports on Monday afternoon, the Blackwater Elite and their long-time head coach Leo Isaac have now gone their separate ways “with a heavy heart.”
The development was first reported by Gerry Ramos of Spin.ph.
This comes in the wake of Blackwater’s dismal 0-3 start in the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup. Their recent loss came at the hands of the Alaska Aces, 73-94, just last night.
The Elite have lost by an average margin of 17.3 points in this skid of theirs.
Isaac has been with Blackwater since joining the PBA in 2014. Under his watch, the Elite accumulated a 29-85 win-loss record, and two quarterfinal appearances.
As per the reports, Isaac held his last practice with the team the morning after their loss to the Aces.
According to multiple members of the team’s staff, Bong Ramos is set to take Isaac’s place for the time being.
