RENEJAY to use pressure as motivation in Blacklist International debut

The pressure is on for Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse as he is set to join a Blacklist International squad that is missing key pieces in its title-retention bid in the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 11.

RENEJAY, who played for the Tier One-backed squad during the SIBOL national team qualifiers for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, was acquired by the powerhouse organization a couple of weeks ago to backstop Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, and Edward “Edward” Dapadap in their bid to claim a second consecutive MPL championship.

The 19-year-old EXP laner said that he knows what’s at stake for Blacklist International in its Season 11 campaign which is why he plans to use the pressure as his main motivation heading into the season.

“Meron pong pressure pero yung pressure po na yun, yun yung ginagawa kong motivation para mas galingan pa,” said RENEJAY during the Season 11 media day at the GAMA Studios in Makati City last January 28.

“Todo, bibigay ko talaga yung best ko kasi wala e, nakakahiya kapag hindi ko binigay yung best ko kasi bago ako e. Bibigay ko talaga yung best ko kasi gusto kong patunayan na kaya ko rin yung mga nagawa nila,” added the social media star.

But aside from helping the defending champions extend their dominance in the local scene, RENEJAY said he’s very eager to prove himself again in the professional scene after a couple of shaky seasons with Nexplay EVOS.

Some members of the ML:BB community attributed RENEJAY’s previous subpar performances to his other commitments but the pride of Bataan assured Blacklist International fans that playing in the MPL – and, of course winning – will be his topmost priority this upcoming season.

“Gusto kong maging katulad nila [Blacklist]. Gusto kong maging katulad nila na ano talaga, disiplinado saka gusto ko talagang manalo.”
