KUALA LUMPUR – RRQ Hoshi star Rivaldi “R7” Fatah tipped his hat to RSG PH exp laner Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo following their recent match-up in the upper bracket finals of the 2022 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, Saturday.
“This match I think he [showed that he has] great micro and macro,” said R7 about Nathzz moments after RRQ Hoshi’s 3-1 victory over RSG PH that earned them the first ticket to the grand finals.
Prior to the much-anticipated match-up, Nathzz, who considers R7 as one of his idols, sent out a warning to the multi-titled exp laner from Indonesia, saying: “I think R7. I feel excited [because] I want to crush R7 in our next match.”
Unfortunately, Nathzz could not back his words as R7 and his squad toppled over RSG PH on Saturday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exchange Center here.
R7 spearheaded RRQ Hoshi’s quick 2-0 start in the series. He recorded two kills, three deaths, and 10 assists in Game One before being named the MVP of the second match with a perfect 8-0-7 KDA line.
He ended the series with five kills, four deaths, and five assists on Thamuz as RRQ Hoshi sealed its finals seat with an 18-11 Game Four win in 25 minutes and 52 seconds of action.
Despite being on the receiving end of Nathzz’s antics, R7 still gave props to the young exp laner, noting that Nathzz has definitely grown a lot since his entry to the scene back in Season Eight.
“I can see that he [grew] so fast, I’m happy to match up with Nathzz. He’s a good player.”
