Popular streamer Akosi Dogie takes Nexplay head coaching post

Popular streamer Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio will take on a more active role for Nexplay Esports in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven.

As per his announcement on his Youtube channel, Akosi Dogie will be making his return to the professional stage as the team’s head coach.

“Ngayon since okay na ako sa lahat, ako na ang mag co-coach kasama ko si Chester [Gonzales] saka Yolo [Tiangco],” he announced on a vlog posted last Tuesday.

“Pinapanood ko mga replays nila. Gabi-gabi sine-save ko tapos pinapanood ko katulad nung ginagawa ko dati sa ‘ML o Ako’. Lagi akong nanonood ng mga replays talaga.”

Akosi Dogie will be joined by former NXP Solid team captain Chester “Chester” Gonzales and former coach Av “Yolo” Tiangco in the sidelines.

The popular influencer tried to get the services of former Omega Esports coach Steven “DaleDalus” Vitug, but the latter opted to sign with Aura PH.

“‘Yung kay DaleDalus hindi namin siya nakuha, pero siyempre ‘yung conversation namin confidential na ‘yun for both parties,” he shared.

The NXP core of Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera will be joined by rookies Lance “LanceCy” Cunanan, James “Jeymz” Gloria, and MPL veteran Dexter “Exort” Martinez.

The MPL-Philippines Season Seven will open its doors on Friday, March 19.
