Pons-Simborio remain undefeated; hand UE third loss

The Lady Tamaraws shook-off a sluggish start and defeated the UE Lady Warriors, 21-19, 21-14.

The more athletic FEU pair seemed to be gravely affected by the noontime sun, as their early first set play was marred by errors and miscommunications on reception. UE would take a late 17-16 lead behind well-placed attacks. Pons and Simborio would however find their footing late in the set and would wrestle the set away from the Lady Warriors late in the first set.

FEU would continue to settle in the second set and would finally show-off their superior athleticism with several highlight-reel spikes from Bernadette Pons on their way to their second win of the season.

FEU: 3-0
UE: 0-3

FEU: 42
UE: 33
