ONIC PH routs compatriot Omega in MPLI

ONIC PH swept Omega Esports, 2-0, to advance to the second round of the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational, Wednesday night.

The MPL Philippines Season Eight second placer weathered Omega Esports’ brave stand in Game One. They bagged a hard-fought 24-18 win in 21 minutes and 21 seconds.

Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera (X.Borg) proved to be the torn on Omega’s side. He finished with seven kills and seven assists against just one death while also providing the much-needed space for his teammates.

Duane “Kelra” Pillas tried to carry the game for Omega Esports. But the overall firepower of ONIC was too much to handle for the Smart-backed squad in the end.

A costly mistake from Omega Esports in Game Two sealed the deal for ONIC PH. They ran away with an 18-15 Game Two win in 17 minutes and 40 seconds.

Omega Esports instigated a clash after successfully defending the first wave of ONIC PH’s siege with the Luminous Lord. That, however, put an end to their campaign. ONIC PH completed a five-man wipe for the win.

“Nakakalungkot kasi parehas PH ‘yung nagkatapat. Pero masaya kami kasi kami ‘yung naka-advance,” said Dlar after the win.

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol (Hayabusa) finished with 12 kills, a death, and three assists in the Game Two victory.
