ONE Championship gets head-start for 2020 with multiple partnerships

With at least 50 martial arts and E-sports events scheduled over the next 12 months, 2020 is bound to be ONE Championship’s biggest year yet.

Before The Home Of Martial Arts gets the ball rolling with ONE: A NEW TOMORROW on 10 January, the promotion announced its strategic partnerships with at least 13 of the world’s leading brands for the upcoming year.

Partners include JBL, TUMI, Redbull, Lazada, DBS Bank, Foodpanda, Hugo Boss, Harvey Norman, Secretlab, California Fitness, Kredivo, Reckitt Benckiser, and Unilever, among others.

These partnerships will leverage multiple platforms to create a unique and exciting synergy between businesses, martial arts, and E-sports communities.

“We at ONE Championship are excited to build strategic partnerships with leading global brands. Our organization is about unleashing the greatness of humanity upon the world through our martial arts and esports platforms,” ONE CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong said.

“Each of our partners share with us a harmonious culture of excellence and innovation, and each play a specific role in realizing our vision at ONE Championship. We aim to ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration, and share the amazing stories of our athletes with millions of people across the globe.”

The announcement comes after a massive 2019 from the largest martial arts organization, a year which saw them hold the highly-ambitious and successful ONE: CENTURY in October — two full-scale world-class events in one day.

It was also in this year where ONE Esports got rolling, kicking off with the Street Fighter and Tekken Invitationals in Japan in October. The ONE DOTA 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational then followed in December.

This year, they will up the ante by holding the ONE Esports Singapore Major from June 20-28.

With the massive plans, it pays to work with the world’s leading brands.

“The ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational was a huge success. We delivered an amazing experience for the esports community and our brand partners,” said the CEO of ONE Esports, Carlos Alimurung.

“Eighty eight-percent of attendees surveyed were 18-35. 96-percent of respondents stated that they are likely to attend the next ONE Esports event, and 84-percent are more likely to purchase a brand that supports ONE Esports events,” he added.

“With this momentum, we look forward to the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational in April and the ONE Esports Singapore Major in June this year.”

ONE Championship returns to martial arts action on January 10 for ONE: A NEW TOMORROW at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
