OhMyV33nus says Blacklist worked double time to snap skid, deny doubters

After struggling in the previous week, Blacklist International is finally back in the win column after dispatching TNC on Saturday night.

The Tier One-backed squad suffered back-to-back losses during the third week, losing to ONIC PH and ECHO, respectively. That, unfortunately, was their first consecutive defeat with Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario.

Despite that, OhMYV33NUS said that the team remained very positive heading into the TNC match. He also described the winless week as a learning curve for the team.

“Syempre sa mindset, dapat positive pa rin talaga.

“Kahit medyo toxic yung social media and ayun, mas doble kayod talaga after naming matalo. Doon namin nalaman kung ano yung mga mali namin and kailangan naming iimprove,” said OhMyV33NUS after the 2-0 win at the ICITE Auditorium.

The two-time MPL Philippines champion was dead-set on leading her team to a win, finishing with a game-high 12 assists laced on three deaths on Diggie in Game One. Then, she delivered nine assists and a kill in Game Two to help Blacklist International seal the sweep.

OhMyV33NUS said that aside she, too, also had her own personal learnings during the past week.

“Personally ako, ang pinakanatutunan ko siguro is mag-focus ako sa sarili ko para mas maguide ko nang mas maayos yung team,” said OhMYV33NUS.

“Hopefully magtuloy tuloy na ulit yung panalo.”
