OhMyV33NUS excited to face ‘underdog’ teams in M3

After witnessing Burmese Ghouls’ Cinderella run in the M2 World Championships, Blacklist International team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna is now keeping tabs on this year’s underdogs heading to M3.

OhMyV33NUS shared during the M3 Official Reveal and Group Draw on Saturday that he’s looking forward to going up against teams outside of the Philippines and Indonesia this upcoming M3 World Championship.

“Mostly it’s between Philippines and Indonesia in the grand finals but in M2 we’ve seen how Burmese Ghouls dominated that tournament,” said the well-loved support player from the Philippines.

“So, I’m looking forward to meeting the underdogs and the wildcard teams, the dark hoses because I’m really a fan of dark horse teams,” added OhMyV33NUS.

The 27-year-old support specialist got what he wished with Blacklist International set to go up against MPL Brazil champion Red Canids, Latin America qualifiers champion Malvinas Gaming, and Turkey qualifiers top squad BDL in Group A.

OhMyV33NUS – who is set to make his second appearance in the world meet – is no stranger to dark horse squads himself after being part of the ONIC PH squad that took the MPL Philippines Season Four by storm.

There, the team that was composed of rookies put up a dominant regular season campaign that gave them the chance to become the first-ever team to win the MPL Philippines title straight from the qualifiers.

That, however, failed to materialize after they lost to Sunsparks in the grand finals in what could be the biggest turnarounds in MPL Philippines history.
