Nxled taps Jaja Santiago’s husband as head coach

Nxled tapped Japanese coach Taka Minowa for its maiden campaign in the Premier Volleyball League this coming October.

Minowa, who is the husband of Filipina volleyball star Jaja Santiago, was previously part of the Japan women’s national volleyball team. He also served as an assistant coach for Saitama (Japan) and Liaoning Tengda (China).

“Bringing in his expertise to the Nxled Chameleons is a multi-titled coach from the Land of the Rising Sun! Welcome to the Nxled Chameleons, Coach Takayuki Minowa,” said the Chameleons in a Facebook post.

“With the Chameleons, Coach Taka looks to achieve the same success he had with his previous teams in the Japanese Division 1 League and Japan National Team,” it added.

Composing Minowa’s staff are Rhenze Hu, Benok Villegas, and Vilet Ponce De Leon.

The squad, meanwhile, features Lycha Ebon, Camille Victoria, Kamille Cal, and Maji Mangulabnan, Krich Macaslang, Chiara Permentilla, Janine Navaroo, Jho Maraguinot, Judith Abil, May Luna, Rachel Jorvina, and Dani Ravena.
