Nets’ HomeBois sweep Group B in MSC Wild Card with dominant 3-0 performance

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Kenneth “Nets” Barro and HomeBois topped Group B with a clean sweep on Day 2 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) Wild Card round on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MPL Malaysia Season 13 runners-up came on strong with a 3-0 record, eliminating Trained To Kill Esports, IHC Esports, and Brute Force in the mainstage competition in a best-of-one series.

HomeBois took down their fellow crowd favorite IHC Esports in just under 12 minutes, applying relentless pressure and executing coordinated team fights.

This allowed Muhammad Nazhan “Chibi” Mohd Nor (Roger) to snowball early in the game, achieving four kills and three assists in just eight minutes of the opener.

Unlike in their series opener, the Malaysian squad narrowly escaped Trained To Kill Esports. Despite the early lead that HomeBois had, Nungshiyenba “VVitch” Usham (Roger) waited for the perfect time to engage during the first Lord fight, stunning his opponents with a Maniac and securing the Lord.

HomeBois found a way to retake the lead after Nets (Minsitthar) and Mohammad “Xorn” Noor (Minotaur) took charge in the red buff area.

That forced a team fight, killing three members of the Nepal team and eventually closing out the series.

Facing Brute Force posed no threat to the former MPL Malaysia champions as they maintained coordinated team fights.

This allowed Chibi (Ling) to get the snowball he wanted early in the game, garnering a KDA of seven kills, one death, and one assist in the 11-4 kill score of the game.

HomeBois will now advance to the final stage of the MSC Wild Card, where they will face off against Entity7, aiming for the last spot in the main stage, where Team Spirit awaits them for their first match.
