Nets, HomeBois clinch final MSC Group Stage slot

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Kenneth “Nets” Barro and HomeBois emerged victorious after defeating Entity7, 3-1, at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) Wild Card round on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

With the win, the Malaysian squad has now qualified for the main stage of the MSC, where they will be placed in Group C along with Liquid ECHO, Team Spirit, and Twisted Minds.

Muhammad Nazhan “Chibi” Mohd Nor once again showcased a masterclass performance on his Joy in Game 1, picking off heroes in the backline early in the game. This allowed Nets (Claude) to take his time farming items and destroying towers for half of the game.

During team fights, a well-executed Blazing Duet from Nets threw their opponents into chaos, leading to victory in each skirmish.

However, superb playmaking by Rodrigo “Erwin” Herenu on his Carmilla in Game 2, casting Curse of Blood at the right moments in every team fight, paved the way for Entity7 to tie the series 1-1.

In the third game of the best-of-five series, Entity7 started strong. However, in the 5th minute, Muhammad “UDIL” Ardiansyah’s Valentina made a triple kill, evening out the gold lead. The MPL Malaysia runners-up then bounced back as Chibi (Ling) scored a Maniac, finishing the game in 13 minutes.

With the series and a slot on the line, Mohammad “Xorn” Noor’s signature pick Chou took charge in Game 4, zoning every member and picking them off, finishing the game with a perfect KDA of seven assists and no deaths.

HomeBois became the last team to qualify for the group stage of the MSC.
