Nailtalk-St. Dominic Savio is withdrawing its participation in the ongoing 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
The school-based team announced the development on Friday with the school president Dr. Nestor V. Dela Cruz making the decision due to internal issues.
The Unicorns have lost all four of its games by an average of 26.5 points, none more humiliating than their 61-point defeat to Centro Escolar University, 107-66 last week.
That game also saw Nailtalk-Savio churn out just two points in the opening quarter, setting the league record for the lowest output in a quarter in PBA D-League history.
Nailtalk-Savio’s last two games against AMA Online Education and Marinerong Pilipino shall no longer be played, with the teams being awarded with a victory via default.
The Unicorns became the second team in PBA D-League history to withdraw after Mila’s Lechon in the 2018 Aspirants’ Cup.
