MSC: Omega figures in another draw, takes second seed in Group C

Omega Esports scored another draw, this time against RRQ Hoshi, 1-1, to snag the second seed in Group C of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, Sunday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

The team ended the group stage with a 0-2-0 standing. RRQ, meanwhile, nabbed the top seed with a perfect 1-1-0 slate.

The Filipinos started off in Game One with Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog’s Atlas suffering three quick deaths inside the first six-minute of the match. With Ch4knu crippled, the SMART-backed squad was not able to find momentum in the match as RRQ established a sizeable advantage midway into the match.

Omega Esports could not recover from there, eventually falling to a 5-17 loss. Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Clint and Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic’s Yve combined for the team’s five kills.

During Game Two, Omega Esports claimed revenge and secured a lopsided win of their own to force a draw.

Raizen bounced back from a rough opener, finishing with six kills and three assists on Karina while Ch4knu had a game-high seven assists in the 10-3 Game Two win.

The playoffs will open on June 14, Tuesday.
