MPL PH: Vintage Kelra delivers as Omega takes down AP.Bren

Smart Omega achieved their most impressive win of the season in a thrilling 2-1 victory over AP.Bren Esports during Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Friday.

Duane “Kelra” Pillas delivered a superb performance with Irithel in the final two games, amassing a total of 10 kills and thirteen assists while only suffering one death.

With this win, Omega tied with Blacklist International for third place, both teams boasting similar 3-2 records and eight points. AP.Bren (3-2) remained in second place with 11 points.

Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo showcased his flexibility by selecting Mathilda in the roaming position, providing AP.Bren with impeccable mobility and engaging tools that led to a one-sided affair.

The reigning IESF world champions secured the first game in just 16 minutes, with Owgwen finishing with a perfect 0-0-10 KDA.

It appeared that a sweep was imminent when AP.Bren established a substantial 10k net worth lead. However, Omega managed to hold on until Partrick “E2max” Caidic (Novaria) stole the 24th-minute Lord with an accurately timed Astral Recall launch.

They wasted no time and forced their way to the enemy, executing a 3-0 wipe in the 26th minute to even the score.

Omega proceeded to dominate Game 3, with E2max (Angela) finishing with an unblemished 4-0-11 KDA to complete the reverse sweep.

On September 23, Omega will strive to secure one of the top two spots as they face RSG, while AP.Bren will aim to bounce back against Echo.
