TNC capped off its 2-1 reverse sweep of Omega Esports with a flawless Game Three outing in the MPL Philippines Season Nine, Friday night.
Daniel “SDzyz” Chu’s efficient farming on Lancelot in Game Three, along with excellent initiations from Ben “Benthings” Maglaque’s Khufra, put TNC ahead by as much as 10K in the gold department past the 13th minute.
SDzyz was also able to put a 3K gold advantage over Omega Esports jungler Dean “Raizen” Sumagui’s Karina.
Already ahead, TNC scored a kill on Renz “Renzio” Cadua’s Esmeralda and took the third Lord of the game without contest. From there, TNC rolled through the win and ended up with a perfect 8-0 Game Three outing.
SDzyz recorded two kills and three assists while Benthings had six assists and a kill in 17 minutes and 19 seconds of action.
Through the win, TNC solidified its hold of the second spot with 17 points with a 5-3 standing.
Omega Esports, who is already ahead after wiping out TNC’s base, kick-started a clash near the Lord pit past the 17th minute.
There, Raizen (Paquito), who has been stellar in focusing TNC’s back lane, found a retreating Mark “Kramm” Rusiana (Esmeralda) and immediately showed himself to secure the kill. He then took out Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille (Clint) to completely give Omega Esports the upper hand.
Duane “Kelra” Pillas (Beatrix) cleaned up what’s left, eliminating Jomarie “Escalera” Delos Santos’ Odette and SDzyz’s Karina. Renz “Renzio” Cadua then secured the kill on Ben “Benthings” Maglaque’s Diggie to seal a five-man wipe and eventually, the 1-0 lead.
Raizen finished with four kills and three assists against two deaths while Kelra had three kills and two assists without a single death in the 13-6 Game One win in 18 minutes.
TNC bounced back in Game Two, banking on the objective-taking prowess of SDzyz’s Ling with the Demon Slayer emblem. The team, after a few early kills, snowballed right into victory with Omega Esports failing to mount a comeback.
SDzyz finished with six kills and five assists against a death in the 16-5 Game Two win in 15 minutes and 58 seconds while Benthings added eight assists and a kill against a death on Khufra.
The SMART-backed squad tied Blacklist International (1-7) once again at the sixth spot with eight points and a 3-5 standing.
TNC will square off against Blacklist International tomorrow at 8:00 PM while Omega Esports looks to bounce back against the top-ranked ECHO on Sunday also at 8:00 PM.
