MPL PH: Omega ends ONIC’s title hopes

Omega Esports booted out ONIC PH, 3-0, to enter the lower bracket finals of the MPL Philippines Season Nine at the SMX Convention Center on Saturday.

Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog’s Khufra made the biggest play in Game One, catching Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales’ Xavier and Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio’s Brody with a Tyrant’s Rage-Flicker combo.

Omega Esports secured the crucial kills during the siege which put an end to the match.

Ch4knu finished with a game-high nine assists along with two deaths while Dean “Raizen” Sumagui’s Karina spearheaded the offense with seven kills, three deaths, and two assists.

Just like in the opener, Ch4knu made the difference in Game Two. He finished with six assists and two deaths on Franco while Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Beatrix scored seven of Omega Esports nine kills in the 9-3 win in 14 minutes and 40 seconds.

Kelra then dominated Game Three, finishing with 11 kills, two deaths, and an assist on Beatrix.
