MPL: Hate leads Team SMG to split in MY, Zico has triumphant debut in KH

Team SMG midlaner Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales and Burn X Flash head coach John “Zico” Dizon kick-started their respective overseas careers with victories.

Hate spearheaded Team SMG to a 2-1 victory over RSG MY in the MPL Malaysia Season 10 on Friday but lost to Haq also via 2-1 to open the first week with a 1-1 slate.

Meanwhile, Zico’s Burn X Flash swept Divinity Saga to go 1-0 in the opening week of MPL Cambodia Autumn. The team took the early second spot in the standings.

On the other hand, Theo “Raizen” Eusebio’s Suhaz Esports suffered consecutive sweeps against Todak and Haq, respectively, to go 0-2 in the MPL Malaysia while Zen of Logic Esports fell to Diversity Gaming Quantum and See You Soon also via sweep to also fall at 0-2 in MPL Cambodia.
