Omega Academy standout Deomark “Mikko” Tabangay finally tasted his first win as a professional after leading Omega Esports to a dominant sweep of TNC in the MPL Philippines Season 10, Sunday night.
“Sobrang sarap po sa feeling. First win ko po as an MPL player,” said Mikko after the team’s rousing 2-0 win against the struggling TNC squad.
The 20-year-old roamer actually had the chance to snap up a win in his debut against Blacklist International last week but the SMART-backed squad failed to close out the reigning world champions in both games, resulting in a sweep.
Mikko admitted that the team had trouble closing out games at that time which is why they made sure to address that before heading back into action against TNC.
It has been a long-time coming for the up-and-coming roamer, who spent his amateur career playing in Omega Esports’ grassroots program.
Now, he’s just glad to finally have his chance and play on the big stage.
“Sobrang saya.
