Laus Auto Group Playbook Esports sustained its opening day momentum, handing debuting Smart Omega a 2-0 sweep in day two of The Nationals Season Two Dota 2 conference, Sunday evening.
It was a tight affair in Game One up until a clash at the bottom side of LPE swung the tides to their favor. And it was actually Omega who pulled the trigger on the clash with Teehee (Oracle) taking down Cy’s Invoker to kick-off the bloodbath.
A crucial toss from Hiro (Tiny) put Benhur (Templar Assasin) in an awkward position to fight. The rest of LPE ganged up on LPE’s carry and Cy, who brought back right after he died, sealed the kill on Benhur. Hiro continued his stellar play, tossing Luciano (Beastmaster) which disrupted his teleport.
Prince (Faceless Void) got the kill on Luciano while Rupido took care of Teehee and Shanks to complete the four-man wipe for LPE.
With Skadi (Ember Spirit) the only one left to defend Omega’s camp, LPE was able to take down their middle and top lane barracks.
Prince spearheaded LPE in Game One, tallying 16 kills, three deaths, and 16 assists while Hiro had nine kills, six deaths, and 13 assists.
Meanwhile, Skadi had a tough time farming for Omega, finishing with just six kills, seven deaths, and 10 assists.
The Game One victory proved to be momentous for the Eagles, finishing another tight Game Two with Prince’s Faceless Void leading the charge again. With the sweep, LPE solidified its hold of the top spot with a 4-0 record for six points.
Omega (1-3), on the other hand, tied for the third spot with STI E-Olympians (1-1) with a point each.
In the other game, defending The Nationals Dota 2 champion Cignal Ultra Warriors overpowered the Happy Feet Emperors, chalking their first victory via a 2-0 sweep.
Cignal ranked second in the standings with three points through a 2-0 win-loss slate while Happy Feet is tied with BREN Epro at the last spot with identical 0-2 cards.
