Laser-focused Renejay: ‘Ayaw ko na munang mag yabang, gusto ko muna manalo’

After spending the past two seasons in eighth place, Nexplay EVOS has emerged as one of the top contenders in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.

Following a rough start that saw them go up and down the standings, Nexplay EVOS finally secured its spot in the playoffs after a dominant 2-0 win against TNC last week.

On Friday night, the team solidified its hold of the third spot after taking down playoff-hopeful RSG PH in a tight 2-0 affair which improved the team’s standing to 6-7 with 21 points across their name.

Still, despite the massive improvement overall, Nexplay EVOS star Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse remained focus on the task at hand which is to help his team clinch the MPL championship.

“Ayaw ko na munang mag yabang, gusto ko muna manalo.

“Focused talaga ako kasi gusto naming makuha yung trophy ni H2 e,” said Renejay, who took the league by storm back in Season Six due to his explosive play style and colorful personality.

Renejay starred in the tight Game One victory, finishing with two kills, four deaths, and two assists on his Benedetta to nab the SMART 5G MVP honor. He then contributed two kills and seven assists against three deaths playing Phoveus in Game Two.

Nexplay EVOS has one final assignment left in Omega Esports on Sunday at 8:00 PM.

And for him, he and H2wo are no longer about the clout. Yes, they have both grown up.

“Goods na kami ni H2 e, trophy na lang kulang.”
