Kelra, Hito glad to see Markyyyy find success in Indonesia

Before entering the professional scene, Duane “Kelra” Pillas and Mark “Markyyyyy” Capacio used to headline Work in the amateur scene in 2020, where they dominated together with fellow MPL veteran Robert “Hito” Candoy.

In Season 12, the three are now in three different MPL regions, with Markyyyyy playing in the MPL Indonesia and Hito in the MPL Malaysia, while Kelra was the only one who remained in MPL PH.

Despite the distance, their friendship has stayed strong, and Kelra can’t help but be happy with Markyyyyy’s recent success after helping Geek Fam reach another franchise milestone with an upper bracket finals appearance for the first time in MPL ID history.

“Kaming tatlo nila Hito may gc kami. Si Hito Gold Stranded,” said Kelra with a laugh.

During the upper bracket semi-final match against RRQ Hoshi, Geek Fam found themselves trailing 2-0 in the series. That was when Markyyyyy finally made his appearance in the postseason.

He proved to be Geek Fam’s magic bunot as he spearheaded a 3-2 reverse sweep to arrange an upper bracket finals date against the reigning MPL ID champion, Onic Esports, for the first ticket to the M5 World Championship in Manila.

Sobrang tapang. Alam ko kasi ganun talaga maglaro si Markyyyy,” said Kelra.

Kelra and Markyyyyy will have a chance for a reunion, albeit on opposite sides, as Smart Omega and Geek Fam try to secure the M5 tickets from their respective regions.
