Smart Omega goldlaner, Duane “Kelra” Pillas, denied the allegations of trashtalking made by Echo roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera during their match-up last Friday.
“Hindi ko po alam kung sino yung nantatrashtalk sa kanya.
“Wala naman pong nantatrashtalk sa kanya sa amin eh. Eh di ko po alam kung bakit niya kami tinrashtalk,” Kelra said after being asked by host Mara Aquino following their win over TNC Pro Team.
Yawi posted an indirect response to Kelra’s statement without naming names through a post on his personal Facebook account. “Hahahaha wala pala sinabi ang mga lods ko eh sino ba aamin? Dili nalang ako magtalk. Namiss ka na din namin siguraduhin mo aabot ka samin ah para magkaharap tayo,” Yawi’s post said.
During yesterday’s doubleheader, Yawi was seen shouting and taunting the opposite side after Echo scored a 2-0 sweep and secured their upper bracket berth. “Siguro ginawa niya lang dahilan yun para makabawi,” Kelra continued.
Kelra and Yawi have already figured in numerous banters in the past, best remembered by Kelra’s taunts during the Season 9 playoffs where Omega sent Echo home in the first round with a dominating 3-0 victory.
Kelra was seen displaying a fake crying action towards the Echo seats after completing the sweep, with Yawi seen crying after the loss. Kelra confirmed after the series that his antics were towards Yawi, whom he said had been doing the same during their regular season match-ups.
“Kitakits na lang sa playoffs. Namiss ko na rin kayo kalaban sa playoffs eh,” said Kelra in his closing statement during the interview with Mara Aquino.
Smart Omega, though, needs to hurdle the first round of the Season 11 playoffs before getting the chance to face Echo once again, with the latter already securing an upper bracket slot.
