Karl guides T1 to third straight win in DPC

Karl “Karl” Jayme steered T1 to its third-straight victory after a huge 2-0 sweep of Southeast Asian powerhouse Fnatic in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Wednesday night.

The Filipino midlaner spearheaded T1’s lopsided 18-5 Game One victory playing Doom. He finished with five kills and 10 assists without a single death in 29 minutes and nine seconds.

T1 offlaner Carlo “Kuku” Palad finished with a game-high 12 assists along with three kills playing Dark Seer while carry Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon’s Phantom Lancer had five kills and six deaths.

Just like Karl, both Kuku and 23savage also did not record a death in Game One.

Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon’s Snapfire and Kenny “Xepher” Deo Nyx Assassin combined for a total of 22 assists, five kills, and five deaths.

Meanwhile, Polo “Raven” Fausto’s Troll Warlord was limited to just a kill, two deaths, and two assists along with just a 15,433-net worth while Fnatic support Djardel “DJ” Mampusti’s Enchantress was a non-factor in the opener, finishing with four deaths and three assists.

Raven tried to carry the fight for Fnatic in Game Two, but Karl’s indestructible Timbersaw proved to be the deciding factor as T1 ran away with a 28-18 victory.

Karl ended Game Two with nine kills, a death, and 11 assists in 36 minutes and six seconds of play.

The South Korean squad is now at the second spot with a 4-2 record while Fnatic is currently tied with OB Esports x Neon at the third spot with identical 3-2 win-loss slates.

T1 will look to cement its place in the second Major against OB.Neon on May 20 while Fnatic looks to bolster its Major run on May 13 against the same squad.
