Esports titans Team Falcons, Fnatic, Team Liquid enter MPL PH Season 13 Playoffs

Just days before the start of the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs, three playoff-bound teams announced partnerships with esports giants Team Falcons, Fnatic, and Team Liquid.

On Sunday, AP.Bren became the first team to announce a high-profile partnership with Team Falcons.

Team Falcons is a major esports organization with teams in various esports titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty, PUBG, PUBGM, and Rocket League.

It currently runs an MLBB team in the MPL Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that competed in the Wildcard Stage of the M5 World Championship.

Its Fortnite team was the champion in the Fortnite Champion Series Major 1: Europe – Grand Finals last year. Meanwhile, its DOTA 2 team won the championship in ESL One Birmingham 2024 last month.

ONIC Philippines, meanwhile, announced their collaboration with Fnatic through a Facebook post last Monday. They will be renamed Fnatic ONIC Philippines.

Fnatic was one of the most prominent teams in DOTA 2 before withdrawing last year. However, its VALORANT team won the championship at the VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo and finished fourth in the VALORANT Champions 2023.

ECHO was the last team to announce, revealing the development through a video on Facebook. They will now be called Team Liquid ECHO.

Team Liquid is present in almost all esports titles, with its DOTA 2 team finishing first in the DreamLeague Season 23: Western Europe Closed Qualifier last March and its League of Legends team winning the championship in the LCS Spring 2024 during the same month.

As the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs approach, these strategic partnerships with Team Falcons, Fnatic, and Team Liquid promise to elevate the competition to unprecedented heights, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown that will captivate esports fans worldwide.
