The team of Mella brothers Dustin and Rico, and individual champion Junior Reyes, took the competition by storm and bagged a record fourth-straight Southeast Asian Games gold in recognized poomsae men’s team, Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Fueled by their huge 8.500 mark in shipjin, the three UAAP products went on to finish with 8.483 — miles away from the other two sides who competed.

Vietnam stunned Malaysia for the silver as Le Thanh Trung, Tran Tien Khoa, and Nguyen Thien Phung ended with 8.416. On the other hand, Augustine Anak, Jason Loo Jun Wei, and Yong Jin Kun only scored 7.983.
