MPL PH: Blacklist sweeps Omega to take early lead

Blacklist International demonstrated their mastery over Smart Omega with a 2-0 sweep during Week 1 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12, held at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

With this victory, the Tier One-backed squad surpassed Echo (2-0) to claim the top spot with six points, thanks to a 2-1 win-loss record.

“Masaya ako sa pagkapanalo laban sa Omega kasi nagtapos ang Week 1 na kami ang nangunguna,” said returning coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza.

Renejay “Renejay” Barcase (Khufra) catapulted Blacklist to a strong start in Game 1 with precise Tyrant’s Revenge setups, resulting in a one-sided 13-2 kill score.

He finished with an almost perfect 3-1-7 KDA in the opening victory.

Renejay continued his impressive performance by delivering a crucial Divine Judgement on Duane “Kelra” Pillas (Brody) during a 21st-minute ambush.

This pick on Kelra triggered a 2-0 takedown, allowing the three-time MPL PH champions to successfully siege the base turret moments later and secure the series.

This marked Omega’s first loss, placing them in the fifth spot with three points after the first week of MPL S12 action.
