Iy4knu to take break, assures RSG PH of return

RSG PH gold laner Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog is the fifth player to announce a break for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Nine, Monday evening.

The organization, though, assured that the former ONIC PH stalwart is still with the team.

“Iy4knu has decided to take a break from the competitive scene for one season,” RSG PH said in a statement.

“He is still part of RSG Philippines but will be inactive. RSG respects this and fully supports his decision. The Kingslayer will see you in Season 10.”

After spending his first four seasons with ONIC PH, the two-time grand finalist was released by the organization and eventually found a home with RSG PH for Season Eight.

The 17-year-old gold laner out of Manila helped the newly-formed RSG PH squad put up a respectable campaign in its debut season.

RSG PH finished the regular season at the sixth spot with a 7-7 record and bowed out of the first round of the playoffs via a 0-3 sweep from Nexplay EVOS.

Bren Esports’ CJ “Ribo” Ribo, Blacklist International’s Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, and free agent Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo, respectively, all announced over the past week that they will be taking a leave from the professional scene.
