Hate heads to Malaysia, signs with Team SMG

Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales is set to become the first Filipino import in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Malaysia.

Team SMG announced the signing of the former ONIC PH mid laner for the upcoming Season 10 on Saturday night.

The 19-year-old support expressed his utmost gratitude to the organization for giving him the opportunity to become the first-ever Filipino to play in the Malaysian league.

“Thank you sa SMG, kinuha pa din ako kahit medyo late na. Thankyou sa mga naka support pa din kahit nasa ibang bansa na ko. Mas gagalingan ko pa,” he said in a post on his personal Facebook account.

Hatred started his career with Execration from Season Five to Season Six before spending the past three MPL Philippines seasons with ONIC PH.

During his stay with ONIC PH, Hatred helped the organization make the MPL Philippines Season Eight and the M3 World Championships finals where they lost to Blacklist International both times.

In his final season with the team, they finished in fourth place after losing to eventual grand finalist Omega Esports in the grand finals.

Meanwhile, Team SMG was coming off a championship run in MPL Malaysia Season Eight before eventually settling for a 5th-6th place finish in Season Nine.
