Hadji grateful to ESON for guiding him in new tank role

Salic “Hadji” Imam passed his Blacklist International debut with flying colors, Friday night.

Playing as a core for the entirety of his career, the 18-year-old Hadji made a huge leap this season and slid down to the position five role.

The former Omega Esports jungler replaced veteran Mark “ESON” Gerardo as the starting tank.

Hadji flaunted his Chou skills in the series, using the hero both times in Games One and Two. He even nabbed the MVP honors in the clincher with a game-high seven assists in just 11 minutes and 36 seconds of action.

The MPL season six grand finalist admitted that he had a hard time adjusting to the role at first. But luckily for him, ESON was there to help him every step of the way.

“Shoutout kay Kuya Eson tinuruan niya akong mag tank,” quipped Hadji.

“Yung pagpapalit ko ng role naging successful naman. Nung una lang [ako nahirapan], pero ngayon hindi na okay na.”

Hadji, who was initially courted by three teams prior to the season namely Bren Esports, ECHO, and Blacklist International, ultimately decided to reunite with his former teammates Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza and Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba in the Tier One-backed organization.

Blacklist International will next face fan favorites Nexplay EVOS tomorrow, Saturday at 8:00 PM.
