Fnatic ONIC dominates Falcons AP.Bren, records fastest game of MPL PH 14

Fnatic ONIC Philippines continued their impressive run, extending their league-record winning streak to 13 after crushing Falcons AP.Bren with a clean 2-0 sweep during the final week of MPL Philippines Season 14 on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

In the decisive Game 2, ONIC PH recorded the fastest match of the season, finishing in just nine minutes and 51 seconds, with a kill score of 10-1.

King “K1NGKONG” Perez emerged as the match MVP on his Alpha, recording four kills, six assists, and one death. His exceptional performance contributed significantly to the team’s success.

“Happy. Pero again, as always, it doesn’t relate to the championship. So perhaps momentum and ideal na kaya namin gawin ‘yon, mga ganong win. So, I think na nakakuha yung mga players [ng] confidence,” said head coach Anthony “Ynot” Senedrin during the post-match interview.

He added, “And thinking again, yung know Bren, you know Liquid, kumbaga may mga playoffs mode ‘yang mga ‘yan eh and I think kailangan na namin mag-ready parin sa ganon. Pero definitely happy [sa game ngayon].”

Transitioning to Game 1, FNOP took an early lead, remaining deathless for the first 11 minutes and one second.

However, moments later, FCAP secured their second and third kills following an initiation from David “FlapTzy” Canon’s Hylos.

This back-and-forth dynamic kept the tension high as both teams fought for dominance.

The turning point of Game 1 occurred during a critical clash in the Lord pit at 18 minutes and 43 seconds.

FNOP managed to pick off three members of the opposing team during the skirmish, leading to a decisive push in the bottom lane by K1NGKONG (Fanny) and Duanne “Kelra” Pillas (Claude), ultimately sealing the game in their favor.
