The Philippine Sports Track and Field Oval in Pasig is poised to witness a surge of youthful energy as the Filipino Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) gears up to host the Kids’ Athletic Day on February 4.
In collaboration with World Athletics, the program known as Kids’ Athletics aims to introduce children to the world of athletics in an exciting and engaging manner, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
The event will serve as a platform for young athletes from various schools to engage in healthy competition, fostering a love for sports and an active lifestyle.
Natalie Sia, President of FCAAF, shared the organization’s primary objective, stating, “One of the main goals of FCAAF is to discover and develop athletic potential in the youth by organizing various tournaments where they can showcase their skills. We are grateful to World Balance for their support in our mission for a healthier and more active youth.”
Several distinguished schools – including Chiang Kai Shek College, St. Stephen High School, Hope Christian College, Phil Cultural College, and Philippine Academy of Sakya College – are expected to participate in this exhilarating event.
The athletic meet will feature a variety of activities encompassing throwing, jumping, and running, providing a comprehensive platform for children to explore their athletic interests and develop well-rounded skills.
The emphasis on grassroots training reflects FCAAF’s commitment to nurturing young talents, instilling discipline, and fostering teamwork. Beyond physical activity, the event will also instill values of fair play, camaraderie, and sportsmanship in the participants.
In collaboration with the Kids Athletic Day, FCAAF has partnered with World Balance, a renowned local sports brand that shares a passion for promoting an active lifestyle.
The support from World Balance adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, offering participants the opportunity to engage with quality sports attire.
Mary Lyn Go, Marketing and Creatives director of World Balance, expressed the brand’s commitment, stating, “We believe in the inherent Filipino talent, in building youth communities, and imparting sportsmanship. With the ‘Believe We Can’ mindset, we empower the next generation of athletes through sports and help them reach their full potential. World Balance is proud to support FCAAF’s initiative towards a brighter future for the kids.”
The Kids’ Athletic Day promises not only a day filled with sporting excitement but also serves as a beacon for the future of Philippine athletics, inspiring young minds to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
