Falcons AP. Bren soars to 5th straight win in MPL PH with sweep of TNC

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Falcons AP.Bren extended their winning streak to five games with a dominant 2-0 victory over TNC Pro Team in MPL Philippines Season 14 on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

The reigning world champions now hold a 5-1 record, completing the first half of the regular season with strong performances.

In contrast, TNC Pro Team remains winless with a 0-6 record.

“Maganda pa rin [yung performance] kahit may mga error. Kailangan din talaga linisin yung mga mistake na shotcalls or mga errors. Pero sobrang thankful ako [na] ganito yung spot namin ngayon season,” said assistant coach Robert “Trebor” Sanches during the post-match interview.

TNC initially had momentum in Game 1, pressuring Falcons AP.Bren.

However, the tide turned during the 9th minute when Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo secured the lord, earning him the MVP award with a perfect six assists in the 6-5 kill score of the 13-minute and 40-second game opener.

The second game saw a different scenario as FCAP controlled the match throughout, not allowing TNC to secure any objectives.

Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson dominated early in Game 2, with two kills and three assists in the first 10 minutes.

He continued to excel, adding two more kills and two assists later in the game, finishing with a perfect performance.

Looking ahead, Falcons AP.Bren is scheduled to face Fnatic ONIC Philippines on Sunday at 5:00 PM. Meanwhile, TNC Pro Team will seek their first win against Blacklist International on Saturday at 2:30 PM.

Both matches will take place at the same venue.
