Falcons AP.Bren draw inspiration from Owgwen’s newborn for MSC

Falcons AP.Bren roamer Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo’s family will be the team’s main motivation ahead of their campaign in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

With one of the most awaited international ML:BB tournaments just around the corner, the former MPL PH champion squad finds themselves on the brink of history – a potential fourth MSC title for the Philippines – with Owgwen’s newborn child serving as their number one inspiration.

“Actually, every tournament namin, meron kaming parang pinag-aalayan. For example nung M5, sabi namin, kailangan nating manalo para may pa-bulaklak sa kasal ni Pheww,” shared Duckey during the pre-tournament post conference for MPL PH representatives.

“Tapos, nung Games of the Future para may pang sasakyan si Kyle, Kailangan nating manalo. Tapos, yun nga ngayon, para sa baby ni Owgwen,” he added.

From supporting a teammate’s wedding to securing a vehicle for another, AP.Bren now found a new source of inspiration in their upcoming quest for glory.

Owgwen recently welcomed his newborn son, just a week before the team flew to Riyadh.

The MPL Philippines Season 13 Best Coach said that having simple goals gives the team a sense of direction.

“Well, I think those specific, like, simple goals na binanggit ko kanina. While it may sound simple, it actually gives you a sense of direction at the back of your head,” said Duckey.

“Lalo na dun sa mga bata na to na konting sabi mo, they [will] truly believe the direction that you tell them to go to,” he continued.

“Madali silang paniwalaan na, I mean, they’re highly impressionable. Madali silang paniwalaan na this is the goal that we’re trying to achieve. Ultimately, I think, hindi nila nari-realize is that, you know, they’re doing themselves a favor.”

With the winner of the Mid Season tournament set to take home $1,000,000 of the whopping $3,000,000 prize pool, FlapTzy said that he is very eager to bring home the championship to help Owgwen’s family.

“Sa akin, parang sobrang sarap sa feeling na mag-champion. Kasi yun na lang din yung kulang ko. MSC na lang. Makukompleto ko na yung major tournaments na nag-champion ako. Sobrang laki nung pera, sobrang makakatulong sa team ko, pati sa sarili ko,” said by the Hall of Legends inductee.

“Lalo na kay Owgwen kasi lumabas na yung anak niya, si Grock Unigo. Kaya gusto namin manalo ng MSC para sa aming lahat kasi kailangan din namin ng pera,” he added.
