Execration’s win over Omega felt like a championship, says Renzio

Two-time MPL-champion Renz “Renzio” Cadua finally made his much-awaited debut for Execration on Friday evening.

And the veteran offlaner is just glad that the team pulled through with a 2-0 victory against Smart Omega Esports despite the multiple challenges that hampered their debut.

Just last night, Execration core Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez suffered an accident as the second level of a double-deck bed collapsed on top of him. Making it worse, someone was currently lying on the bed when it fell.MPL-PH-7-Execration-Kielvj-accident Execration's win over Omega felt like a championship, says Renzio ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

To make matters worse, the team lost their internet connection a day before their MPL-Philippines Season Seven debut against an Omega Esports squad who was coming off a strong finish in the world championships.

“Parang nag champion yung pakiramdam kasi nadisgrasya po si Kiel tapos wala po talaga kaming practice nun dahil nawalan po kami ng internet.

“Hindi ko po talaga inexpect na ganun kalakas yung pinakita namin nung game na ‘yun,” Renzio told Tiebreaker Times.

He put up three assists and a kill against two deaths in Game One using Paquito, all while providing much-needed pressure in the experience lane.

Renzio then played a vital role in Game Two with his Baxia, manning the frontline for Execration against the high-tempo composition of Omega. He finished with five kills and 10 assists against four deaths.

Renzio, a member of Sunsparks’ back-to-back championship squad, spent most of the past season riding Aura PH’s bench. Renzio and Kielvj were then let go of the organization following a disappointing finish in Season Six.

But it did not take long for the pride of Bagong Barrio, Caloocan to find a home as Execration came calling right away after his split up with his former team.

“Unang una sobrang saya po. Kasi kahit galing po ako ng sixth man ang laki pa rin ng tiwala nila sakin na malakas ako, na kaya ko, na worth it ako makasama sa main five ng Execration,” he bared.

“Sobrang okay po namin, nagkaroon kami agad ng chemistry as a team. ‘Di kami masyado nangapa. Hindi naman po ako nahirapan mag adjust sa bagong team ko.”

Looking to repay Execration’s trust, Renzio vows to help the team its coveted championship.

After all, he already did it twice in his career.
