Execration remains in hunt for AniMajor spot

Execration kept its WePlay Animajor hopes alive after capping off the season with a dominant 2-0 win against Lilgun in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Wednesday night.

Yuri “Yowe” Pacana’s monster Medusa outing in Game Two wrapped up the lopsided 2-0 victory, finishing with 13 kills and 16 assists against just three deaths in the 48:54-minute win.

Nikko “Nikko” Bilocura’s Doom chipped in 12 kills and 22 assists against five deaths while support Carlo “BDz” Manalo’s Grimstroke logged a game-high 26 assists laced with three kills and eight deaths to backstop their midlaner.

On the other hand, Lilgun was led by midlaner Altanginj “x123” Bilguun’s Lycan with nine kills, eight deaths, and 10 assists in Game Two.

Back in the opener, it was rising star Jinn “Palos” Lamatao who steered Execration to the 38-25 victory. The former Vice Esports carry finished with 13 kills and 12 assists against just two deaths on his Lifestealer in 40 minutes and 52 seconds of game time.

BDz also made his presence felt in Game One, recording eight kills and 17 assists against just three deaths on his Grimstroke anew while Nikko’s Legion Commander had 10 kills, four deaths, and 19 assists.

If T1 beats OB Esports x Neon tomorrow, Execration, who ended its upper division campaign with a 4-3 record, will go up against Fnatic for the third seat in the region which has an AniMajor Wild Card ticket.

However, if OB.Neon takes down T1, Execration will drop to a four-way tiebreaker with Fnatic, OB.Neon, and T1 for the second and third seats.
