Execration releases entire ML team, to assist in finding home for players

End of an era

Exactly 10 days after winning the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, Execration announced the release of its Mobile Legends roster, Wednesday afternoon.

The announcement was made on Execration’s official Facebook page.

“As an organization, we could not be any prouder of the successes our Execration Mobile Legends team have earned, especially from the results of the last MPL and MSC season. Accolades aside, we pride ourselves as an organization that builds meaningful and supportive relationships with each of our players as a family would. And at the end of the day, this is what’s most important for us,” said EJ Miranda, general manager of LuponWxC which handles the Execration squad.

“Due to unfortunate circumstances, we are supporting the current Execration ML team by finding an ideal organization where they can continue to thrive and find success. Once an agreement is finalized, we will make an official announcement on the next organization that will continue their journey,”

The Execration roster is composed of young guns Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez and Duane “Kelra” Pillas along with veterans Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic, Renz “Renzio” Cadua, and Mobile Legends icon Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, and coach Jomie “Pakbet” Abalos.

The team was coming off a stellar run in the MSC, winning against Filipino rival Blacklist International via a 4-1 victory.

A few weeks before that, the team also made waves in the local scene, mounting a Cinderella run that saw the squad crawl up from the lower bracket up to the grand finals. However, Execration, despite being a game away from securing the title, came up short in their Mobile Legends Professional League-Philippines Season Seven run as they lost to Blacklist International in seven games.

Still, it was an amazing run for Execration as they exceeded their highest finish in the league just by making it to the grand finals.

Execration first made its jump to the scene back in Season Two, inheriting OBS Gaming’s roster that has Z4pnu, Pakbet, and Jeff “Jeffqt4ever” to name a few. Since then, Execration became a household name in the local Mobile Legends scene.

The team also never dropped out of the main draw for the entirety of its six-season stay with the league.

Surely, the team will go down as one of the most celebrated squads in the history of Philippine Mobile Legends.
