Eric “The Natural” Kelly, after suffering his second career loss, vowed to bounce back into title contention.
The Baguio-native got his wish as he has booked to face former ONE World Featherweight Champion Narantungalag Jadambaa in the main event of ONE Championship: Dynasty of Champions (Hefei).
Kelly (12-2) had a year-long layoff before returning to the cage last October in facing Hiroshige Tanaka. Kelly was able to scrap out a win but suffered a crushing third round submission loss against Ev Ting that derailed his redemption tour. Fortunately for the 34 year old, the ONE Championship brass granted him the biggest fight of his career in facing Jadambaa.

The native of Mongolia (11-4) lost the ONE Featherweight crown against unbeaten Marat Gafurov last November in ONE’s foray in Beijing, China. The 40 year old bounced back last May in a submission win against Kotetsu Boku.
Both men need to win this pivotal bout to get a crack at Gafurov. Moreover, in the twilight of their careers, both warriors need this win to solidify their legacy.
ONE: Dynasty of Champions (Hefei) is set to happen on Saturday, July 2 at the Hefei Olympic Sports Centre in China. Headlining the blockbuster lineup will be an epic clash between Narantungalag Jadambaa, Mongolian national hero and former ONE Featherweight World Champion, and Eric “The Natural Kelly” – the best international mixed martial artist to ever emerge from the Philippines.
