After six straight stoppage losses, Eric Kelly finally made it to a full three rounds.
However, it was not enough as the 37-year-old Baguio-native suffered a unanimous decision loss to Niu Kang Kang, Saturday evening during ONE: Legendary Quest in Shanghai, China.
Kelly fell to 12-8 in his pro career while Kang went up to 6-1.
Trestle Tan and Angelie Sabanal could not bring home wins earlier in the night as well.
Tan, who trained with Brazilian Top Team to prepare for this match, was handed a first round TKO loss by Yoon Chang Min.
Yoon, a South Korean lightweight, dropped Tan with a right cross with less than three minutes remaining in the bout. Sensing blood, he went on to throw punches from the top that called for a stoppage with 55 seconds left in the opening stanza.
Tan lost his fourth straight bout to drop to 4-9. Yoon picked up his second straight win in as many fights.
Sabanal, on the other hand, went down to 1-3 at the hands of the debuting Itsuki Hirata, who is still unblemished in four fights.
HIrata submitted Sabanal with a kimura with 2:59 on the clock.
