Eloy Poligrates has been vocal of his hopes of a PBA return, and he has just made a strong case for himself.
The 31-year-old guard from Poro has been crowned as the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Most Valuable Player, Wednesday afternoon at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Poligrates beat BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare’s Joshua Fontanilla; Centro Escolar University forward Rich Guinitaran; and Technological Institute of the Philippines’ Bryan Santos for the plum.
Poligrates has been the main man of Marinerong Pilipino this conference, and is a huge reason why the Skippers are unbeaten so far across 10 games.
The former Talk N Text Tropang Texter has averages of 19.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 steals.
Poligrates also made history along the way, setting the PBA D-League record for most points scored with a 67-point showing in Marinerong Pilipino’s 141-97 conquest of iWalk last August 26.
