Echo retains core, adds Jaypee for title defense bid

Defending champion Echo is set to maintain its championship main five lineup, while also welcoming veteran Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz to the team for MPL Philippines Season 12.

Team captain Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera will once again lead Echo in their pursuit of retaining the title, which doubles as the qualification process for the M5 World Championship scheduled for December in the Philippines.

The core lineup will consist of M4 Finals MVP Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, two-time world champion Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, and Alston “Sanji” Pabico.

Jay Pee “JayPee” Dela Cruz, the reigning MLBB Development League Finals MVP, will assume the role of the team’s sixth man for the upcoming season.

Harold “Tictac” Reyes will continue to be at the helm for the Orcas, alongside Robert “Trebor” Sanchez.

Jian Cedric “Jian” Magtibay, the team’s lone substitute player, has been released by the team earlier this week. However, he has yet to disclose any updates regarding his plans for the forthcoming season.
