Dale promoted to head coach of new MPL PH team

Aside from its rebranding, the former Aura PH core will be making a huge overhaul come the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.

The Aura PH core will be representing a different banner in the upcoming season. Alongside this, it has promoted former strategic coach Steven “Dale” Vitug as its head coach.

Team manager Mitch Liwanag confirmed this to Tiebreaker Times.

“Si Dale na ‘yung bagong coach ng MPL team namin,” revealed Liwanag, who remained mum on his wards’ future squad.

With Dale’s appointment as coach, Michael “Arcadia” Bocado — who led Sunsparks (now Aura PH) to the MPL Philippines Season Five championship — will now be in charge of the organization’s esports squads.

Liwanag has yet to name the organization that his squad will be representing.

Aside from its changes in the coaching staff, a huge revamp in the roster is also in place. It started with offlaner Ashley “Killuash” Cruz, who revealed that he will take a break from the scene after losing his drive in the past few seasons.

“Last last season ko pa po ayaw maglaro. Medyo nawawalan na po ako ng gana at nawawala na ‘yung gutom ko manalo palagi tuwing gigising ako,” Killuash told Manila Bulletin’s Jeremiah Sevilla.

According to Tiebreaker Times’ sources, Allen “Greed_” Baloy is headed to ONIC PH. Meanwhile, another veteran player will be sitting out in Season Eight.

Another source also bared that the squad’s 10-man roster will feature new faces as well as former MPL players.

Aura PH ended Season Sevn at third place following a loss to Execration via a 3-0 sweep in the lower bracket finals.
