Second MPL PH crown means more for Wise: ‘Napatunayan ko na kaya ko’

Emotional was Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario after Blacklist International bagged the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight title last Sunday.

Wise immediately broke into tears after securing the title-clinching Game Five against ONIC Philippines in the grand finals of MPL Philippines Season Eight.

When asked why he was crying, Wise gave a short, but a humorous response to MPL Philippines host Mara Aquino.

“Kasi champion, may pera na ako pambili ng kahit anong gusto ko. Mga bagay na hindi ko kailangan pero masaya ako ‘pag nabili ko,” said an emotional Wise in jest.

Wise is arguably the most scrutinized Mobile Legends professional in the Philippines aside from teammate Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna. Turning serious, he revealed the real reason why he broke down right after winning their second consecutive championship.

“Kasi napatunayan ko na naman sa sarili ko na kahit hindi ako nag a-assassin, kaya kong mag-champion. Hindi lang isa, dalawang beses pa,” shared Wise.

For the longest time, Wise has received criticism from fans and several professional players alike for his ‘limited’ hero pool.

The noise about his hero preference all started back when he was with ONIC PH. It later toned down by a bit when he won the Season Seven title with Blacklist International.

However, despite that humongous achievement, the uproar was still there.

Now he has bagged his second-straight title and proved to himself that he can win despite the absence of assassin heroes in his pool. And Wise hopes that he has finally silenced all the non-believers.
