BREN taps ArkAngel standouts Saxa, Joy Boy, Super Marco

A new era has begun for Bren Esports.

Out to reclaim glory, the M2 World Champion signed up former ArkAngel stars headed by amateur standout Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Former ArkAngel roamer Vincent “Joy Boy” De Guzman and gold laner Marco “Super Marco” Stephen were also called up by the MPL Philippines Season Six titlist.

Amateur standouts Vincent “Pandora” Unigo, Dale Rolan “Storm” Vidor, and Jomari “Jowm” Pingol were also called up to bolster the roster.

Still leading the squad is Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel.

Also retained by the Bernard Chong-owned franchise are M2 World Champions Allan “Lusty” Castromayor and David “FlapTzy” Canon along with up-and-coming jungler Muj “Lord Malikk” Malik.

In the off-season, Bren Esports released Raven “L3Bron” Alonzo, Dwine “Rimuru” Enriquez, and long-time player Efphraim “Ejhay” Sambrano, who has been with the team ever since Season 3.

Meanwhile, M2 group stage and finals Most Valuable Player Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno was bought out by ECHO.

Veterans CJ “Ribo” Ribo, who announced that he’s taking a break from the professional scene, and Mico “Coco” Sampang were the notable names left out of the Season Nine roster.

Bren Esports suffered another heartbreaking campaign in Season Six after entirely missing the playoffs — the first time in franchise history.

The team ended the regular season with a lowly 5-9 standing to cap off the tournament at seventh place.
