Blacklist International’s Edward “Edward” Dapadap was named the Finals Most Valuable Player of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven, Monday evening.
The 17-year-old pride of Bataan put up 1.86 kills, 1.57 deaths, and 3.14 assists for a total of 3.18 KDA in Blacklist International’s seven-game series against the upset-seeking Execration.
Edward played Benedetta five times and Uranus and Pacquito once in Blacklist International’s come-from-behind 4-3 victory.
The support-turned-sidelaner entered the league back in Season Five and was one of the two remnants of the original Blacklist International squad along with sixth man and analyst Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba.
He also played a crucial role in reversing the series, putting two kills and two assists against one death in Game Five to pump life to the Tier One-backed squad’s championship chances.
Edward ranked first among offlaners in KDA with 4.02 — the 12th best in the league.
Blacklist International ended the regular season with a league-best 12-1 standing in Group B — with their sole loss coming from erstwhile champion Bren Esports.
The team then avenged their loss come the upper bracket, weathering Bren Esports’ late rally via a 3-2 victory before taking down Aura PH in a 3-1 result in the upper bracket finale.
Besides the plum, he also takes home US$1,000.
