Aurora extends MPL PH rampage to 10 after sweeping Twisted Minds

Aurora rampaged past Twisted Minds, 2-0, to secure a season-best 10-game winning streak in dominant fashion during Week 7 of the MPL Philippines Season 16 on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

Riding their hot streak, Aurora remained firmly on top of the standings with a 10-1 record—well ahead of second-running Team Liquid PH (7-4)—and are now just two wins away from clinching an outright upper-bracket berth.

Facing a team whose strength is in their teamfight mechanics, Aurora coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani’s squad sure to counter their opponent’s strength.

“Sila yung daming sobrang daming team fight kapag kalaban mo kaya ang naging mindset lang namin is wag natin silang hayaang maparami yung mga teamfights,” he said.

Aurora took control early after Edward “Edward” Dapadap survived a 5th-minute 2-on-1 ambush, turning the play into two unanswered pickoffs as the league leaders zoomed to a 3,100 gold lead behind a 6-1 kill score.

Jan “Domengkite” Delmundo then closed it out with a Maniac killing spree during a 12th-minute base turret siege, sealing the opening victory for Aurora.

Aurora then made quick work of Twisted Minds in Game 2, leading by as much as 11,400 before settling for an 11-minute victory.

Domengkite (Granger) once again led the way with a stellar 3-0-5 KDA.

Aurora will aim for an 11th straight win as they battle TNC Pro Team on Sunday, October 5.
