Aura PH releases Kielvj, Renzio

After failing to reach expectations in the MPL-PH Season Six, Aura PH have decided to release Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez and Renzio “Renzio” Cadua from their Mobile Legends roster, the organization announced on their Facebook page, Wednesday.

“Tonight, we will say farewell to our ‘The King’ Kielvj and ‘The Phantom Offlaner’ Renzio.

“Thank you for the past seasons and wish you all the best in your careers. Good luck with your future endeavors. We will see you guys in the land of dawn,” Aura PH’s statement read.

The Indonesia-based franchise acquired the entire Sunsparks roster — who was coming off a second-straight championship last June 24 — in hopes of dominating the Philippine Mobile Legends scene.

But Aura PH hit a snag in Season Six. It struggled to close out games in the regular season, resulting in shocking losses such as a 2-0 sweep at the hands of NXP Solid. The team also dropped their first-ever series against arch-rival ONIC PH in the last game of the regular season. It relegated them to the second seed in Group A, which set up another Aura PH-ONIC PH showdown in the quarterfinals.

And that much-anticipated match up spelled doom for the league’s only two-time champion. Aura PH scored a surprising 3-0 sweep against Aura, putting an end to their three-peat hopes.

Still with the squad are Chan “Rafflesia” Fajura, Allen “Greed” Baloy, Ashley Marco “Killuash” Cruz, and Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz.

Aura PH has yet to announce the replacements for the two. Interestingly, though, Benedict “Bennqyt” Gonzales has decided to part ways with Execration last Monday.
